Sleep & Rest

Recently I watched a news item on increased bedroom expenditure in Europe a trend that is sure to follow here in the states .According to the report last year alone accounted for the highest increase in bedroom expenditure. Europeans are spending more on bedrooms than any other room in the house in an effort to sleep better .Some of the beds being featured cost well over 5000 British pounds.

Last night I went to sleep at around 9pm but i woke up again at around 10 pm for about 5 min or so . The funny thing is after that I fell into the deepest and sweetest sleep. When I woke up I was so relaxed and refreshed ready to take on the new day. so I looked at my alarm clock to see how many more min I had before it went off(if I wake up before the alarm rings I like to stay in bed until it goes off) surprisingly when I looked it was only 1am . I just started laughing and thanking God for he is so good .He gives me rest and relaxation and on top of that another 5 hours of extra sleep. Now what is even more shocking is that I was sleeping in a sleeping bag (long story) the sleeping bag by the way cost a grand total of 14$.

Here I was getting the best night of sleep in what many would consider the worst of conditions at the cheapest cost and someone somewhere in Europe has spent a fortune trying to get the same thing .Isn't Our God great and wonderful .So I thank God for everything the small things and the big things I thank God that He watches over me and has my welfare on His mind

I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
Psalm 3:5 (New International Version)
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety
Psalm 4:8 (New International Version)
when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
Proverbs 3:24 (New International Version)
The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits him no sleep.
Ecclesiastes 5:12(New International Version)
