Office Politics

This week began with dramatic news at the office .Our group manager was replaced. Technically the guy was promoted but we all know it was a case of firing the guy would cost the company so they created a new dead end job for him(nobody in the office will say it but I will) .Sadly the man was a very good man . For a high flying top exec in corporate America he was a down to earth guy .Small talk with the man wasn’t hard or uncomfortable .He talked to everyone from the mailroom guys to security . i can honestly say he was a good boss .Anyway for those who depend on office politics to get ahead( i said he was a good man i didnt say he didnt like those who sucked up more than the rest of us). you should have seen the activity in the office . Production must have been at an all time low.The constant wispering on the phone was even funnier .
As for me ,I never sucked up to my old boss and sure enough I wont suck up to the new boss. You see my being in this company has nothing to do with my boss or myself. The book of Psalms says I look unto the hills from where does my help come from. My help comes from the Lord. It is always easier to preach to other about faith and trusting in God than actually living it but in my short stay in the states I have learnt to depend on God ,being jobless and broke far away from home and when getting paid . Either way I have always had the peace that comes with depending on God to sustain me.I have seen him supply when i had no money ......So anyway the tip for the week depend on God and not man and you shall have a secure future no matter who holds what position . If your faith is in God you can not be shaken. so while most of my work mates scramble to position themselves ,while others wonder what the future will hold..... life for me continues like nothing has happend . its so much easier to trust in God than in man . because God doesnt change even if circumstances change .Have a blessed week

Psalm 121
A song of ascents.

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills— where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip -he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore
