Heavy Bags
Sin/Sins: We are all born with sin and it is a weight /Sins on the other hand are the acts we do that are a weight too ,This bag has two pockets -Secret sins which represent our present and past sins(This are the things we are hiding from others , it could be a lifestyle ,sex ,pornography etc.) The second type are futures sins the ones you answer to by the saying ….I don’t want to say…. ,I might …,I don’t know…..I don’t want to say never .Yes I too carry this bag .

Guilt: The next bag that we carry and need to get rid of is the bag of guilt .This bag carries the sorry/apologetic things you have already done or are doing .Its the bag of secrets ,the ones we would say …..if I had to do it again I would do it differently .The things that Church without Christ makes you guilt. This bag prevents you from going to church.

Pride: This is the smallest but deadliest bag .It is so small it can be hidden but God hates this bag more than any other .It is arrogance ,self promotion ,anything that you do to make yourself look more important than you are .This bag prevents you from letting people know the real you .it’s a performance bag -image is everything .The kind of bag that prevents you from fully acknowledging you have a language problem .

Dreams: This bag is different from other bags .it is actually the bag that carries the weight of your dreams. It prevents you from being satisfied with the things you have because you have a dream .Working hard to be a millionaire and not spending time with your family kind of thing. Not being thankful with what God has given you , the little comforts.

Responsibility: Responsibilities to other people .Everyone is counting on me ,positions, bills, friends .People need me but they dot know I have problems of my own .They call me for advice but I have problems that have problems and cant take my own advice .

Now here is the catch you might be saying I don’t have all those bags .More power to you !I on the other hand like many Christian carry all those bags .Friends, family ,relatives ,special someone’s ,people i know all carry the five bags .The good news is that this heavy load SHOULD not prevent us from coming into the presence of God through Jesus .Jesus said "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." God has his hands open wide for you and for me .His love for us is greater than our baggage .Praise, worship and fellowship with other Christians in church is an opportunity for us to receive the healing that we need .its an opportunity for Christ to lighten our load and give us rest . I have never had a bag that prevented Gods mercy from restoring me .Infact i know for sure no such bag exists.No bag can prevent God from loving us ,but we have to let Him take care of our load Have a blessed week .Cast your burdens onto Jesus for He cares for You .
